That should now be fixed in the 2002-02-13 release.

Hmm.. Was this during the re-association problems or even when the station was properly associated to the AP? Some of the error/authentication messages from the HostAP are written with printk() with quite high priority and depending on your syslog/klog settings these may cause lot of load on the system and lost of interactivity. I'm going to replace these at some point with more efficient method, but you could also add KERN_DEBUG to the printk()s that produce most of the syslog messages to help the situation.
